19 Apr 2026

Kia Ora and warm Term 2 greetings whaanau!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break - I know our Senior students are looking forward to heading away on Camp tomorrow for the first three days of the term! Please ensure your child is at school before 8:30am with all of their camp gear ready for a great time. If you have any questions please reach out to your child's teacher.

The weather has been cold, rainy and windy - Don't let this be the reason for not attending school every single day! We had a massive improvement for attendance last term so let's keep the momentum going! Another well done to Tuatahi who will be heading out for their Ninja Valley Attendance trip later in the term. Our 5 winners from the end of last term will also be drawn this week.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - CAMP 2026 UPDATE - We have secured a BUS for travel to camp and back to school
15 Apr 2026

Kia Ora all,

We hope you are all having a lovely holiday break - We hope the children are all excited to head away to camp on Monday.

One slight change to the notices we sent out on the last day of term - Thanks to our funding application being approved, we are able to provide a BUS for the children to travel from school to camp on Monday and to also bring the children home on Wednesday from camp back to school. This is great news. Please do be on time to school on Monday as the bus will be leaving promptly.

For those parents who are coming to camp as helpers, you are more than welcome to bring your own vehicles as organised. Having a bus both ways makes it a lot easier for us to get the children to camp safely and efficiently.

If you have any further questions regarding camp on Monday please reach out to your child's teacher

Tuatoru - Sarah Burt - sarah@tepaina.school.nz

Harakeke - Haley Christopher - haley@tepaina.school.nz

Thank you to all of the families who have paid their $50 camp fees either at school or to the bank account. We are still awaiting a small number of payments so please do send these through as soon as you can to help with the costs of food, accomodation and camp activities for the three days.

Enjoy the last few days of the holidays!

Ngaa mihi,

Team Te Paina
